Found this Cottonmouth near recently shed skin: watched it for a couple days as its color changed from solid grey to just starting to show color (note bottom half of snake). So many people are afraid of snakes and kill them without provocation and I think this is wrong! Once this guy saw me, he slid away and hid under brush, he just wanted escape. They're not out to hurt people unless they feel they have no other option!
