The Kroger trial life

I've joined a community on Kroger for trying new things and sharing about them. I recently received a package of coupons for Fresh Ideas from the Freezer. I've tried all of the free products and most of them I liked (especially the Eggo Waffles) but there's a couple that I totally didn't care for.

I got a coupon for Stouffer's Fit Kitchen Bowls and decided to give the Sweet and Spicy Meatballs a try. I usually like meatballs of any variety but this was a big MISS for me. I just couldn't finish eating it and dumped most of it out. The flavor to me was just awful. Another product that I got to try free was SmartMade by Smart Ones. Now, I've had a couple of products in this line before but hadn't tried the Grilled Peppercorn Beef & Vegetables. Again, YUCK! This was another day that I went without lunch. I know these are supposed to be healthier choices but come on, there's lots of healthy options that taste good, so these 2 items really dropped the ball on this.

I did try and enjoy the Wicked Kitchen Mac and Cheese - loved the spices they had in it to give it just a bit of oompf! This is one product that I'll probably purchase again!

Kroger MyMagazine Sharing Network

I've joined a community on Kroger for trying new things and sharing about them. I recently received a box of free samples and coupons for free organic food. There were 3 bags of chips in the box and several coupons. My favorite has to be the organic Tostitos chips. I also bought organic Tostitos salsa and oh yes!, I can't tell much difference. I tried Horizon organic chocolate milk but that's definitely not for me! Let's just say I won't be drinking any more of it. Sweet Leaf organic tea is really good - I've had that several times but got a free bottle coupon in my box and I got the Lemonade Tea. I also got a free jar of peanut powder chocolate - not sure what to use it for yet but took a taste of it and it's not bad at all!

Refuge camera

The Friends of Noxubee Refuge have a live camera set-up in the Rookery area. It doesn't stream 24/7 but if you subscribe, you'll get notified when it is live. It'll be interesting to watch the nesting birds in a couple months! Here is a short video of ducks feeding - they were right under the camera, thus the closeness of the images.
